  1. Libby – I read your poem and the short interview. I thought the poem was amazing. I felt the struggle between the children still at home sleeping and you headed into work as a cardiac nurse who would face life and death that day. And parking at the top of the garage and looking out over a whole city – seeing the tops of it. But knowing that so much more lies beneath what you could observe.
Words….it is what we have to communicate with and poems seem to bring a most special blend of them together to create a deeper meaning than just conversation. Thank you for writing this. Your work as a cardiac nurse is very important but so are your blended, condensed words – your poems.

  2. Thank you Barbara for your kind words and encouragement! It’s so fun hearing feedback on my poems and I appreciate the time you took to read and comment. And yes, you’ve got it–it’s that struggle between what we see at the surface and what we feel underneath the skin…how to grapple with the divide?! Thanks for reading 🙂
