Hi, I’m Libby. My writing is influenced by my military service, my career as a surgical nurse, and my fascination with the messiness of human experience.

My published works can be found here and here. I teach memoir workshops and coach writers one-on-one; here are my current offerings.

Occasionally, I share musings and updates and would love for you to follow along if you’re so inclined.

Writing

I explore themes such as the human body, mental health, motherhood, sexuality, violence, and spirituality in my poetry and creative nonfiction. My work appears in The Iowa Review, Ruminate, Literary Mama, The Other Journal, and Ekstasis, among others.

Currently

I offer individual memoir coaching as well as creative writing workshops, both independently and through The Muse Writers Center, The Armed Services Arts Partnership, and the Wounded Warrior Project. I also share updates and reflections on the writing process on my blog, Bodies of Thought.
